11/11/11

Any self-respecting blogger worth his salt should get a post up on 11/11/11 at 11:11am. So here's mine.

To add something Waxhaw-related, half of my campaign signs disappeared from my yard on Wednesday. The kids and I had planned on keeping them for posterity's sake (much to my wife's chagrin), but some of the faster-acting politicians got to them first. I'm talking about you Daune Gardner, Phillip Gregory, and Sean Poccia.

I quickly gathered up the signs of Martin Lane, Mike Stewart, and Lisa Thornton and hid them deep in the bowels of my garage, so if they come looking for them, they will never find them.

All three winning candidates retrieved their signs promptly. Maybe that's one characteristic of being successful? :)

The campaign signs around the area all pretty much were gone by Wednesday afternoon, which is a good thing. Glad to see them get out and clean up promptly.

2 of the 3 won re-election, John. There must be some other way we can group them, though.

I'll say the three that left their signs in my yard are more in tune with town bloggers. Going further, the three that snuck into my yard like thieves in the day to forcibly uproot the signs from my campaign sign garden are surely not big fans of the arts. There, it had to be said. ;-)
