Peacock!

Driving home from a baseball game tonight, we spotted a peacock between Helms Road and the kennel on Waxhaw-Marvin Road.

A real live peacock was walking down the sidewalk with no one around.

Is the only logical explanation that someone around here has one as a pet?

My wife didn't seem to believe my oldest as he relayed our amazing tale, but she was convinced enough that she called Waxhaw police (read animal control) minutes later in case they wanted to check it out.

Not because peacocks are dangerous, but you never know what a cornered peacock might do if there's no other options.
